Setting Goals - Step 1:
Go Crazy!!! When first setting your goals - Don’t get hung up on organizing, categorizing, or the how-tos.So many people never get started simply because they get overwhelmed with all the advice!
- Set your Goals.
- Make them time specific.
- Set action plans.
- Write them on note cards.
- Read them daily.
- Etc. etc.”
Identify what you want and why you want it. Be outlandish!! Don’t even think about things like categories, areas of achievement, and definitely about how you’re going to achieve them.
Just start writing. If your mind’s drawing a blank - think back to when you were a child and go from there. What did you really want as a child? Don’t worry that what you write or think may seem impossible. Don’t worry about the logistics of how to accomplish it. Don’t think that it’s foolish, too lavish, or that it’s just too outlandish. Just start writing.
If you’ve never done it before, you’ll probably start getting some feelings that you haven’t had in a very long time. You may feel some excitement, butterflies and even crack a smile or two. This is the first and greatest step. You’ve heard the saying, “BEGIN! The rest is easy.”
Now that you've written down a few (or many) goals, just close your eyes and begin to feel as much as you can about each goal. Imagine as vividly as possible just how it looks, tastes, sounds, smells, anared feels.
